General information, not legal advice
The articles, glossary, key dates, SDS explorer and other content on this site are general information about chemical hazard communication rules. They are not legal advice and do not replace a review of your own products. Rules change, so always check the official sources linked from each article, or ask us.
The SDS self-check
The self-check is a quick way to spot common warning signs. Its result is an indication only, not a compliance determination. Your answers stay in your browser and are not sent to us.
Our services and your responsibilities
Work for clients is carried out under a written quote or service agreement, which sets out the scope, fees and timelines and takes precedence over this page. Your company remains the supplier legally responsible for its safety data sheets and labels. We prepare and check documents from the information you provide, and record the sources and rule versions used so you can stand behind them.
The client portal
The client portal is for clients of our SDS library service. Access is limited to the email addresses the client approves. Please tell us when someone should no longer have access, for example when they leave your company, and we will remove them. Each SDS in a library is checked by us, but its content remains the responsibility of the supplier that issued it. Keep the paper binder up to date as the backup.
Examples on this site
The products, companies, addresses and phone numbers shown in examples, sample documents and demo videos are fictitious and are there only to show our work. Sample documents must not be used as safety data sheets or labels for real products.
Links to other sites
We link to official sources, such as Health Canada, OSHA, ECHA and the UK Health and Safety Executive, for convenience. We are not responsible for the content of other sites, which may change after we link to them.
